Luke 8:5-8/8:11-15
NKJV

“A sower went out to sow his seed.
And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it.

Some fell on the rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture.

And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it.

But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundred fold.”

When he had said these things he cried, “he who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the wayside are the ones who here; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and they have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away.

Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.

But the ones that fell on good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.

* THE SEED THAT IS THE WORD OF GOD. *

* ALL OF US WHO HEAR THE WORD OF GOD ARE ONE OF THESE FOUR TYPES OF PEOPLE…….

(1) WAYSIDE—HEAR THE WORD AND THE DEVIL SNATCHES THE WORD OUT OF YOUR HEART BEFORE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST AS SAVIOR.

(2) ROCKS—THOSE WHO RECIEVE THE WORD BUT HAVE NO ROOT AND BELIEVE FOR A WHILE. IN TIME OF TEMPTATION FALL AWAY.

(3) THORNS—HEAR THE WORD BUT THE CARES, RICHES, AND PLEASURES OF LIFE CHOKE THE WORD OUT. THEY BEAR NO FRUIT.

(4) GOOD GROUND—HEAR THE WORD WITH A NOBLE AND GOOD HEART. THEY KEEP THE WORD IN THEIR HEART AND BEAR FRUIT WITH PATIENCE.

* YOUR HEART IS THE PLACE WHERE THE SEED OF GOD GROWS
AND SPROUTS AND BRINGS FORTH FRUIT. *

* KEEP YOUR HEART WITH ALL DILIGENCE, FOR OUT OF IT ARE THE ISSUES OF LIFE. *

* KEEP THE WORD YOU HEAR IN YOUR HEART. BELIEVE WHAT GOD TELLS YOU. DO THE WORD IN YOUR LIFE ACTIVELY. *

* DO NOT LET THE DEVIL SNATCH THE WORD. *

* ALOW THE WORD IN YOUR HEART TIME TO GROW GOOD STRONG ROOTS. *

* DO NOT LET CARES, RICHES, AND THE PLEASURES OF LIFE TO COKE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE WORD IN YOUR HEART. *

* YOU ARE THE ONE WITH THE GOOD AND NOBLE HEART. YOU WILL BEAR 100 TIMES AS MUCH AS WAS SOWN IN YOUR LIFE. *

* IN YOUR HEART THE WORD IS PRODUCING WHAT GOD SENT IT TO DO. AS YOU KEEP IT AND BELIEVE GOD YOUR REWARD IS SURE TO COME. *

* GOD IS WATCHING OVER HIS WORD TO PERFORM IT IN YOUR LIFE. *

* IT IS PROSPERING IN YOUR LIFE AND PRODUCING EXACTLY WHAT FATHER GOD SENT IT TO DO. *

Colosians 1:26-28/2:6-8
NKJV

The mystery which has been hidden from ages and generations, but now has been revealed to his saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Him we preach, warning every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

As you therefore have recieved Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the traditions of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

* FATHER GOD HAS REVEALED GREAT RICHES OF GLORY “IN CHRIST”. *

* BE ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH. *

* BE THANKFUL FOR ALL GOD HAS DONE. *

* STAY AWAY FROM PHILOSOPHY AND EMPTY DECEIT. *

* DO NOT FOLLOW THE TRADITIONS OF MEN THAT ADHERE TO THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF THE WORLD. *

* FOLLOW JESUS CHRIST IN EVERY AREA OF YOUR LIFE AND OVERCOME THE WORLD, EMPTY DECEIT, AND TRADITIONS OF
MEN. *

* YOUR SAFTY AND VICTORIOUS LIFE IS “IN CHRIST”. *

I just read 4 chapters that make up the book of Jonah. The whole point of what God did through “making” Jonah go and warn them of their impending judgement was—–

To show his mercy on 120,000 children of the city and the animals. Both of these would be innocent victims of collateral damage through destruction of the city.

The guilty of the city had to repent and change their ways to save the children and animals. They did repent and saved all the lives of everyone. God gave them another chance at life through his mercy and forgiveness.

This is the “OLD TESTAMENT” version of
John 3:16. The mindset and attitude of Jonah is why I believe God found fault with the “OLD COVENANT”.

Jesus came on the scene when his people “HATED” THEIR ENEMIES”. Jesus said
to “LOVE YOUR ENEMIES AND DO GOOD TO THOSE WHO HATE YOU”.

Jesus is the mediator of “NEW COVENANT”.
A better covenant built on better promises.
He is looking for messengers of the “GOOD NEWS” of the kingdom of God who don’t need to be thrown overboard, swallowed by a fish, and vomited onto dry land!

John 8:12
NKJV

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying “I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

* IT IS A SIMPLE COMMAND, “FOLLOW ME”,
WITH A GREAT PROMISE ATTACHED TO IT. *

* IN EVERY GENERATION THE COMMAND IS TO “FOLLOW ME”. *

JESUS CHRIST—–THE SAME YESTERDAY AND TODAY AND FOREVER

* LIKE HE TOLD PETER, AND LIKE HE TOLD PAUL. LIKE HE TOLD MARY, “FOLLOW ME. *

* HE IS THE ONE YOU FOLLOW SO THAT YOU DO NOT WALK IN DARKNESS. *

* HE IS THE ONE YOU FOLLOW SO YOU WILL HAVE THE LIGHT OF LIFE. *

PEOPLE STUMBLE IN THE DARKNESS BECAUSE THEY CAN’T SEE……THEY HAVE NO LIGHT.

IGNORANCE OF ALL THAT JESUS HAS DONE FOR US IS DARKNESS.

PEOPLE ARE LOST IN THE DARKNESS.

BY FOLLOWING THE STEPS OF JESUS CHRIST FOR YOUR LIFE YOU HAVE THE
“LIGHT OF LIFE”.

IF WE WALK IN THE LIGHT AS HE IS IN THE LIGHT, WE HAVE FELLOWSHIP ONE WITH ANOTHER, AND THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST HIS SON CLEANSES US OF ALL SIN.

MAKE YOUR STAND ON THIS EARTH TO FOLLOW JESUS THE BEST YOU CAN AND WILL HAVE THE LIGHT OF LIFE.

ASK YOURSELF “WHAT WOULD JESUS DO”?

Philippines 4:6-9

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by
Prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving,
Let your requests be made to God;

and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethern, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, lf there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy——meditate on these things.

THE OLD COVENANT OF MOSES AND THE GREATER GLORY OF THE “NEW” IN THE FACE OF JESUS CHRIST. *

* THERE WAS A VEIL OVER MOSES FACE TO SHIELD THE GLORY FROM THE PEOPLE. *

* IN THE TEMPLE WORSHIP SYSTEM UNDER THE OLD THERE WAS A VEIL BLOCKING THE WAY INTO THE HOLY OF HOLIES. *

* WHAT WE HAVE NOW “IN CHRIST” IS THE INVITATION TO LOOK INTO THE GLORY OF GOD IN THE FACE OF JESUS CHRIST. *

* WE SEE DIMLY THIS OVERWHELMING GLORY AND OUR POTENTIAL TO KNOW FATHER GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. *

* AS WE LOOK AT JESUS WE ARE TRANSFORMED FROM ONE DEGREE OF GLORY TO EVEN MORE GLORY BY THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD. *

* WE PUT AWAY CHILDISH THINGS IN THE WAY WE SPEAK AND THINK INTO BECOMING MORE AND MORE LIKE JESUS. *

* AS WE REALIZE WHAT JESUS HAS ACCOMPLISHED ON OUR BEHALF WE GAIN CONFIDENCE TO LOOK INTO AND TRANSFORM AND OVERCOME OUR FAILURES AND WEAKNESSES.

* ALL OF THESE THINGS ARE WORKING TOGETHER FOR THE GOOD AS WE LOVE OUR FATHER AND LEARN TO OBEY HIS PLAN. *

That which we have sean and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.

This is the message which we have heard from him and declare to you, that God is light
And in him is no darkness at all.

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

But if we walk in the light as he is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.

* JOHN IS SPEAKING ABOUT WHAT HE SAW WITH HIS OWN EYES, AND HEARD WITH HIS OWN EARS ABOUT HIS LORD AND SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST. *

* HE DECLARES THIS SO YOU CAN HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM (JOHN) AND ALL THOSE “IN CHRIST”. *

* THEN JOHN SAYS THAT THE TRUE FELLOWSHIP……THE OVERRIDING, OR FIRST PRIORITY FELLOWSHIP IS WITH THE “FATHER” AND HIS SON JESUS CHRIST. *

* IT IS “NOT” THE OTHER WAY AROUND. IT IS THE FELLOWSHIP WITH FATHER AND SON THAT BRINGS THE COMMUNITY OF BELIEVERS TOGETHER. *

* EVERY ONE OF US “IN CHRIST” MUST HAVE DEEP PERSONAL FELLOWSHIP EXPERIENCE WITH FATHER GOD AND HIS SON JESUS CHRIST. *

* THIS COMES BY TALKING TO HIM, (FATHER) AS YOUR FATHER THROUGH FELLOWSIP WITH JESUS CHRIST
(HIS SON). *

* BY LEARNING TO TRUST THROUGH EXPERIENCE AND OVERCOMING YOUR SINS AND FAILURES THROUGH OBEDIENCE TO HIM. *

* THIS IS “WALKING IN THE LIGHT” AS “HE,”
(FATHER), IS IN THE LIGHT. *

* TO ME, (PERRY SEELY), “WALKING IN THE LIGHT” IS “WALKING IN THE SPIRIT”. THEY ARE THE SAME THING……TWO WAYS OF SAYING THE SAME THING. *

HE WHO HAS BEGUN A GOOD WORK IN YOU WILL PERFORM IT TO COMPLETION “IN CHRIST”.

Matthew 6:9
“In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.”

JESUS IS TEACHING US HOW TO PRAY IN A WAY THAT FATHER GOD WILL HEAR AND ANSWER.

“OUR”

This speaks of a great revelation and fellowship position that Jesus Christ has brought us into.

We, and Jesus, have the same Father when we are “IN CHRIST”.

Our brothers and sisters “IN CHRIST” all have the same Father in heaven.

The reason Jesus Christ came to earth was to reconcile us to Father God as sons and daughters. Whenever we pray this prayer set forth by Jesus it reminds us that we are sons to our Father God.

“OUR” brings forth the first and foremost reality that we are not alone in Father’s kingdom. We are not on a island. We have family with…….

*THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
*ALL THOSE WHO ARE “IN CHRIST”

In this family we have been given “THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION “. We walk as sons, ADOPTED THROUGH CHRIST, and say……”BE RECONCILED TO GOD “.

WE LOVE AND RESPECT…….

*THE FATHER OF THE KINGDOM
*THE SON OF THE KINGDOM
*THE SONS OF THE KINGDOM

Only sons and daughters can pray this prayer.
This elevation to “SONS” opens God’s ears to hear you. He sees his perfect Son, Jesus, when he looks at you.

Father does not see your sins when you pray.
He sees the “NEW CREATION IN CHRIST”. He sees you, “HIS SON,”

HE IS OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN.

But the goal of our instruction is love (which springs) from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

Paul brings all down to the bottom line for Timothy, his son in the faith. He encapsulates the goal of the teaching he received by direct revelation of Jesus Christ.

He is saying……”TIMOTHY, THIS IS WHAT YOU AND I AND JESUS ARE TARGETING TO ACCOMPLISH IN THE BELIEVERS “.
