I keep hearing and sensing from Holy Spirit that God is making a way for salvation and mercy. In his sovereignty he is looking on California wanting to save souls. His eye is on the humanity that calls California home.
God sees somthing valuable, and worth saving in the diverse representation of people found here. He is looking past our faults and seeing our need. The magnitude of people here touches God’s heart.
God’s ways and thoughts are higher, better than man’s ways and thoughts. He wants to showcase himself in what he is going to do.
I think about Jonah when God told him to preach to the city of Nineveh so they could be saved. He did a 180 and went the other way. The reason was because he knew God was going to spare them. He wanted them judged.
This is God’s words to Jonah after he threw a fit because he showed mercy on Nineveh……
“SHOULD I NOT HAVE COMPASSION ON NINEVEH, THE GREAT CITY IN WHICH THERE ARE MORE THAN 120,000 (INNOCENT) PERSONS, WHO HAS DO NOT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEIR RIGHT AND LEFT HAND (AND ARE NOT YET ACCOUNTABLE FOR SIN), AS WELL AS MANY (BLAMELESS ANIMALS?”

Think about it, we were rulers of our own destiny under the Great Spirit. We were not prisoners of war or conquered people as in reality we are today.
A return to the old way is popular among many Native People. We want to feel good about ourselves and find our purpose. Why has organized Christianity made it so hard on us? Did not Jesus die on the cross for Native People?
JESUS DID DIE ON THE CROSS FOR US. GOD HAS A GREAT LOVE FOR WINTU, WIYOT, YOROK, PIT RIVER, AND ALL OTHER INDIGENOUS TRIBES AND BANDS.
We are second to none in his eyes as he does not favor one people group over another. The big problem is that men masquerading in the guise of Christ have treated us horribly.

Last night my mom Genevieve Seely was honored by the City of Shasta Lake, Ca. She is a 93 year old Wiyot woman born on the Table Bluff Rancheria in California. Some of her Native students requested it as she was a public school teacher for 50 plus years.
It was a great night for our family to see mom recognized for her many achievements. A Native spiritual leader of the Wintu said a prayer in his Native language to open the event.
There was a slide show of some of her life and some personal words mom wrote that were read by one of her former students. One thing that stood out to me was her thoughts and experience with Christianity.
She said her mom sent her to sunday school one time. She felt so out of place by the way people were dressed and did not understand why “Indians” were thought of as inferior with pagan beliefs. My mom has been personally hurt by the Christian doctrines of
“DISCOVERY”, “MANEFESTDESTINY “, and
“COLONIALISM “.
My mom’s mother was murdered by a white man who beat her to death. Her mom’s sister had 4 murders in her family with no one brought to justice.
It is hard to spread the gosple of the love of Jesus Christ in your family when your dealing with deep hurt and resentment. I myself am discriminated against because I love Jesus.
Are all you believers good with all that? Are you good with the way Jesus has been portrayed to Native People? Are you all right with how Indigenous People have been treated in America? Let me just say this…..i love Jesus Christ and I still remain hopeful for his people to represent him in a good way.

My mom’s mother was murdered by a white man who beat her to death. Her mom’s sister had 4 murders in her family with no one brought to justice.
It is hard to spread the gosple of the love of Jesus Christ in your family when your dealing with deep hurt and resentment. I myself am discriminated against because I love Jesus.
Are all you believers good with all that? Are you good with the way Jesus has been portrayed to Native People? Are you all right with how Indigenous People have been treated in America? Let me just say this…..i love Jesus Christ and I still remain hopeful for his people to represent him in a good way.
