1 Corinthians 13:11-13

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I thought as a child; but when I a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face.

For now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

2 Corinthians 3:18

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 4:6,7
NKJV

For it is the God who commanded light to shine in the darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be seen to be of God and not of us.

* THIS IS ALL IN THE CONTRAST BETWEEN
THE OLD COVENANT OF MOSES AND THE GREATER GLORY OF THE “NEW” IN THE FACE OF JESUS CHRIST. *

* THERE WAS A VEIL OVER MOSES FACE TO SHIELD THE GLORY FROM THE PEOPLE. *

* IN THE TEMPLE WORSHIP SYSTEM UNDER THE OLD THERE WAS A VEIL BLOCKING THE WAY INTO THE HOLY OF HOLIES. *

* WHAT WE HAVE NOW “IN CHRIST” IS THE INVITATION TO LOOK INTO THE GLORY OF GOD IN THE FACE OF JESUS CHRIST. *

* WE SEE DIMLY THIS OVERWHELMING GLORY AND OUR POTENTIAL TO KNOW FATHER GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. *

* AS WE LOOK AT JESUS WE ARE TRANSFORMED FROM ONE DEGREE OF GLORY TO EVEN MORE GLORY BY THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD. *

* WE PUT AWAY CHILDISH THINGS IN THE WAY WE SPEAK AND THINK INTO BECOMING MORE AND MORE LIKE JESUS. *

* AS WE REALIZE WHAT JESUS HAS ACCOMPLISHED ON OUR BEHALF WE GAIN CONFIDENCE TO LOOK INTO AND TRANSFORM AND OVERCOME OUR FAILURES AND WEAKNESSES.

* ALL OF THESE THINGS ARE WORKING TOGETHER FOR THE GOOD AS WE LOVE OUR FATHER AND LEARN TO OBEY HIS PLAN. *

* THE GOOD NEWS IS…….
WE JUST KEEP LOOKING TO THE FACE OF JESUS CHRIST AND THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD DOES THE TRANSFORMING IN OUR LIVES. *

* KEEP LOOKING AT JESUS! *
